Track Day Training Course run by Bike2Bike at Mondello Park

Did you know that 70% of motorcyclists are riding on provisional licenses and many would like the opportunity to take part in our bike track days but cannot?

Mondello Park have teamed up with Ireland’s leading rider training organisation, Bike2Bike to offer this tailored training course on the famous Mondello Park circuit.  In addition, anyone who has a full bike licence, but may be nervous of attending a track day this course is an ideal opportunity to overcome any apprehension they may have.

FAQs:

Anyone over 16 years of age or (13 years with a race licence). Anyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign for them. They must have “their own bike” which must be at least 125cc (no Scooters).

The course runs from 8.30am to 5.00pm with an hour lunch break from 12pm – 1pm.

5pmm - Awarding of certificates & Finish

  • Textile protective clothing or leathers, motorcycle boots, gloves and helmet.
  • Open face helmets are not permitted - They must be Full face or modular (Flip)
  • Go Pros are not permitted at a bike Track training day
  • We  highly recommend back and chest protectors.

Be aware that Textile protective clothing is not sufficient for a full Bike Track day.

The course fee is €165 and you can only attend if you have pre-booked by signing up below or through the office.

Top Tips for Attending Track Training Days:

  • Pack the night before (keep a list of items packed) Don’t forget the key for your bike!
  • Arrive at the circuit early (sign on starts @ 8.30am)
  • Check your PPE - Boots, Leathers, Back and Chest Protector, Helmet and Gloves (PPE helps minimise injury should something go wrong. Make sure it fits, for advice, please ask)
  • Fuel up before you arrive, the nearest garage is in Caragh 4km away.
  • Do a POWDER check on your bike i.e. petrol, oil, water, damage, electrics and rubber
  • Tyre pressures are important, please ask the instructors when you arrive for advice 
  • Ask questions! - This is a training day. The instructors and marshals are there to help and are happy to give you advice and help on and off the track
  • Have fun!

If the student passes they will receive a certificate from Bike 2 Bike confirming this.  This certificate should be presented at your first track day along with photo ID to  confirm they have the ability and skills required to take part in a track day.
