What we do:
On-track team members provide flag, fire and incident marshalling at events, as well as manning the fast intervention vehicles used to handle incidents during live races and safety car periods. On-track team members are primarily involved in preventing incidents and clearing the track after they happen.
On-Track team positions include:
- Course Marshal
- Incident/Flag Marshal
- Fast Intervention Vehicle Crew
- Incident Officer
The On-Track Team has a grading system whereby a combination of attendance at events and the annual training day will see a person progress year on year through the organisation.
Off-track team members work within the event organisation and administration. Team members are involved in the running of race meetings from the sign-on of drivers on race morning, through to the production of results at the end of an event. Members can work their way through a variety of positions up to Senior Race Official status.
Off-Track team positions include:
- Paddock & Grid Assembly
- Race Control
- Event Administration
- Results communication
Training courses are provided free of charge to all Mondello Park Track Team members, including:
- Fire Safety
- Classroom training
- On Track Rescue Response training
