Fiesta 6 Hour - Mondello Park

FIESTA 6 HOUR INFORMATION

The 2023 Irish Circuit Racing season is set to finish with a flourish as Mondello Park gets ready for the longest race of the season.

The annual six hour race for Siltex Safety Fiesta Zetec Championship cars is set to run on Sunday November 5th on Mondello Park’s National Circuit.

This unique annual event offers a very different challenge for regular Fiesta competitors, who are used to racing over a maximum of fiteen minutes, as they face into stints of up to fourty five minutes at a time.

The entire event takes place over a single day with a one hour qualifying session on Sunday morning followed by the race. The race gets the green flag at 12:00 and runs on until 18:00 with the chequered flag coming in darkness.

The hugely popular and enjoyable event always attracts star names and this year is no exception with a number of Ireland’s current crop of endurance racing stars set to join the grid. GT4 Europe competitor Alex Denning, Road to Le Mans LMP3 driver Lucca Allen and two time Le Mans 24 hour entrant Michael Fassbender will all take the start.

Alongside the current star names, regular Fiesta 6 hour competitors David Kennedy and Tommy Byrne will join forces once again, teaming up with Fassbender to create one of the most experienced driver line-ups on the grid. A who’s-who of Irish saloon racing will also add their names to the line up, including Niall Murray, Eric Holstein and Michael Cullen in what should be a very competitive field.

To round out the year and as a thank you for your support throughout 2023, all Irish circuit racing fans are welcome to come and watch the enduro story unfold, free of charge, as there will be no admission charge to either Saturday’s test day or Sunday’s race.
