Motorsport Icons and Historic Cars Set to Shine at the Carole Nash Historic Festival – 16th & 17th August 2025
Mondello Park will once again echo with the sound of legends as the Carole Nash Historic Festival returns on August 16–17, bringing Ireland’s premier celebration of vintage and classic motorsport roaring back to life.
This year’s grid and paddock will welcome some of the sport’s most revered names, with John Watson, Martin Donnelly, Derek Daly, Alec Poole, and rising Irish Formula 2 talent Alex Dunne, World Rally Championship driver Josh McErlean all set to make appearances over the weekend — from high stool interviews to trackside chats and historic car runs.
On the Saturday there will be a special tribute to celebrate Eddie Jordan – From Grid to Glory with his family, friends and teammates.. Fans can also look forward to Formula 1 demo runs from the legendary Jordan 195 on track along with displays featuring several Jordan Grand Prix cars that shaped the Irish legacy in Formula One. The demos, displays and action will take place over both Saturday and Sunday.

The racing schedule spans multiple classes of historic competition with standout trophies including:
- The Irish International Grand Prix Trophy
- The Dublin Grand Prix Trophy
- The St. Brigid’s Trophy
Expect open-wheel, GT, saloon, and vintage car grids from the 1920s to 1960s, delivering high-speed nostalgia and razor-sharp racing across the board.
A major attraction for engineering and motorsport history enthusiasts is the Martin Birrane Collection, an exceptional private museum on-site housing cars from Le Mans, Formula One, BTCC, Procar, NASCARs, and more — including machines from Jaguar, BMW, Jordan, Benetton and Lolas which will be available to be seen over the weekend.
There’s more than just motorsport to enjoy. The Carole Nash Historic Festival transforms Mondello Park into a vintage wonderland with live swing and drumming bands, vintage fairground rides, face painting and street food galore. Whether you’re a lifelong racing fan or just looking for a fun and unique weekend, this event is designed for all ages and interests.
