JapFest 2022 – What you need to know

Japfest 2022

The biggest Japanese car show in Ireland at Mondello Park this weekend. This heart-pounding event has a fantastic lineup of the top drifting competitors, the wildest Japanese cars, and unbelievable action!

To help you get the most out of the festival, we’ve put together a handy guide to answer any questions you might have.

General Info

When is JapFest 2022?

JapFest 2022 is on the 9th of October 2022. Gates are open to the General Public between 10 am and 6 pm.

Is the event solely for Japanese models?

All cars entering the JapFest Show & Shine must be of Japanese origin. The only exception to this rule is if the car is equipped with a significant number of Japanese parts, such as the body kit, wheels, engine swaps etc. These cars will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Will there be a cash point on site?

No, there are no cash points/ATMs on-site at Mondello Park. Most trade stands, food and drink facilities accept card payments, but we recommend bringing some cash since not all trade stands will accept credit cards.

Are there camping facilities?

Camping facilities are not available at JapFest.

Have questions about tickets?

How can I buy a ticket?

Tickets must be purchased online before the event, and are available on the Mondello Park JapFest Event page.

Do I have to print the tickets?

Don’t forget to bring your printed ticket or screenshot the QR code on your mobile device to avoid delays at the gate.

Ireland’s best drifters at our only International motorsport venue

JapFest is one of the rare events where you can see some of the best drifters in Ireland on an International race track. An exciting and exhilarating combination of multiple disciplines in one heart-stopping show, it’s the fastest-growing motorsport in the world. The sport has become the favourite of a new generation and is currently the most watched and followed sport in the country.

Trade Stands

Enjoy some retail therapy. There’ll be some great vendors and promoters alike showcasing their products & merch. Most traders and catering facilities will allow card payments. However, as not all trade stands can take credit card payments, we encourage you to bring cash. Be sure to stop by The Hub in the paddock to pick up some official JapFest merchandise.

We’ll also have some limited edition JapFest merchandise available in The Hub on the day. Drop by and pick your exclusive souvenir in The Paddock.

How to get to Mondello Park

Mondello Park is located in Donore, Naas, Co. Kildare. Our Eircode is W91 T957. The event takes place in rural Ireland with large crowds in attendance. Because of this, there is a risk of network coverage failures from time to time. So it’s especially important to print/download your ticket before you arrive at the track.

The race track is almost entirely an outdoor venue, so be prepared for the unpredictable Irish weather. We’ve put together a guide to stay as dry as possible in the wet weather – hopefully you won’t need it!!!
