The Carole Nash Historic Festival returns on August 10th and 11th, 2024. This unique event in Ireland celebrates vintage, classic, and racing cars and bikes from the ’20s to the ’60s, making it a must-see for motor racing enthusiasts and car lovers. The festival will feature live racing for the Dublin Grand Prix Trophy, the St. Brigid’s Trophy, and the Birrane Perpetual Trophy, showcasing the skill and adrenaline of drivers in vintage and classic vehicles.
Additionally, there will be displays of pedigree Grand Prix motorcycles, complete with the unique sights and smells of distinctive two-stroke engines. Visitors can also enjoy classic and vintage car shows, passenger laps with motorsport stars Alex Dunne, Max Harte, and Jack Byrne, and celebrations of 75 years of Jaguar sports cars with displays from Porsche Ireland, Jaguar Club Ireland, and Jaguar & Daimler Ireland. Swing and brass bands will set a nostalgic mood, while a vintage funfair, carnival games, face painting, and street food pop-ups provide fun for all ages.
One of the festival highlights will be the pre-war Sports Car race, featuring some of the oldest and most charming vehicles. The Historic Formula Ford 1600, Formula 3000, and other racing cars will also be live on track, with home-grown competitors from the HRCA adding to the action-packed program. The Martin Birrane Collection will be open, displaying iconic cars from the world of motorsport, including those that have competed in Formula One, Le Mans, and NASCAR.
